Main duties

• Assist in the planning and execution of procurement activities in line with established policies and procedures.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, tender documents, and requests for quotations.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any discrepancies or issues.
• Support contract management activities, including renewals and evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best procurement practices.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Prerequisites

• A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain operations, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and standard purchasing procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.

Skills

• Good communication skill both written and oral.
• Good understanding of contract terms and conditions specific to technology engagements.
• Understanding of financial analysis and the impacts / savings to be achieved in the procurement categories.
• Ability to provide an appropriate level of attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, process driven environment.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Organisation, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload.
