MauBank has begun its participation in the Operational Excellence and Productivity Improvement Programme, a national initiative implemented by the National Productivity and Competitiveness Council (NPCC) under the JICA Technical Cooperation Project.

Selected as one of the programme’s Model Companies in the service sector, MauBank will work alongside the NPCC and Japanese specialists to benchmark international practices and apply Lean Management and Kaizen approaches within the Bank.

The programme brings together international expertise and MauBank’s knowledge of the local market, with a strong emphasis on practical application and the development of capabilities within the organisation. A cross-functional team will work directly with the specialists throughout the programme, with participating colleagues also helping to carry the approaches and learning into their respective areas.
