The Visa Cross-border Campaign ("Campaign") is organised by Visa in collaboration with MauBank Ltd ("MauBank” or “the Bank") to reward eligible Visa Credit and Visa Debit cardholders for qualifying cross-border transactions made during the Campaign Period as defined below.
Eligible cardholders who are pre-selected by MauBank and meet the applicable qualifying spend threshold as set out under paragraph 4 below will receive a voucher, subject to the availability of vouchers and the below Terms and Conditions.
By participating in the Visa Cross-border Campaign, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Campaign Period
The Campaign will run from 15 August 2026 to 30 September 2026 (both dates inclusive) ("Campaign Period").
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Campaign is open to selected existing MauBank Visa Credit and Visa Debit cardholders whose cards are active or newly activated during the Campaign Period.
2.2 Eligible cardholders will be pre-assigned by MauBank to one of the following Campaign categories:
- Activation
- Usage
Each category comprises three (3) spend thresholds in order to qualify for a voucher as set out under paragraph 4 below.
2.3 One (1) eligible Visa card shall qualify for only one (1) voucher during the Campaign Period.
3. Eligible Transactions
3.1 Only qualifying Visa Card Present (CP) and Card Not Present (CNP) cross-border transactions effected during the Campaign Period shall be eligible.
3.2 A cross-border transaction means any transaction where the country of the transaction is different from the country of issuance of the Visa card, including transactions conducted:
- Outside Mauritius and Rodrigues; or
- Online with merchants located outside Mauritius.
3.3 Only qualifying purchase transactions are eligible. Transactions that are reversed, refunded, cancelled or otherwise invalidated during the Campaign Period will not qualify.
4. Spend Thresholds and Voucher Rewards
Eligible cardholders must meet the applicable cumulative minimum spend threshold assigned to their respective Campaign category during the Campaign Period in order to qualify for a voucher.

5. Campaign Mechanics
Activation Category
Eligible cardholders assigned to the Activation category will qualify for the following voucher rewards upon reaching the applicable spend threshold:
- Spend MUR 70,000 or more and receive a MUR 5,000 voucher.
- Spend MUR 20,000 or more and receive a MUR 1,000 voucher.
- Spend MUR 1,500 or more and receive a MUR 500 voucher.
Usage Category
Eligible cardholders assigned to the Usage category will qualify for the following voucher rewards upon reaching the applicable spend threshold:
- Spend MUR 70,000 or more and receive a MUR 5,000 voucher.
- Spend MUR 25,000 or more and receive a MUR 1,000 voucher.
- Spend MUR 10,000 or more and receive a MUR 500 voucher.
6. Reward Allocation
6.1 Voucher rewards are available in limited quantities for each spend threshold.
6.2 Eligible cardholders who satisfy the applicable spend threshold will receive vouchers strictly on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated rewards for that threshold have been exhausted.
6.3 Meeting the qualifying spend threshold does not guarantee receipt of a voucher once the allocated rewards have been fully claimed.
7. Award Mechanism
7.1 Eligible rewards will be calculated, funded and paid by Visa at the end of the Campaign Period.
7.2 Voucher rewards will be issued by MauBank to cardholders who qualify for rewards no later than 15 October 2026.
8. Collection of Voucher Reward
8.1 Eligible cardholders who qualify for a voucher reward will be contacted by the Bank using the contact details recorded in the Bank's systems.
8.2 Voucher rewards must be collected from the location(s) and within the collection period communicated by the Bank.
8.3 Cardholders may be required to present a valid National Identity Card or Passport and any other documentation reasonably requested by the Bank to verify their identity before the voucher is released.
8.4 If a voucher is not collected within the period specified by the Bank, the voucher may be forfeited without compensation, unless otherwise determined by the Bank.
8.5 Voucher rewards are personal to the qualifying cardholder and may not be transferred, assigned, refunded or exchanged for cash or any other benefit.
9. Campaign Fund
9.1 The total fund allocated for the Visa Consumer Cross-border Acceleration Campaign is limited.
9.2 Once the campaign fund has been fully utilised, no further rewards shall be awarded, irrespective of whether the Campaign Period has ended or not.
9.3 Visa reserves the sole right to suspend, amend or terminate the Campaign at any time before the end of the Campaign Period if the campaign fund has been exhausted or for any other reason at its discretion.
10. General Conditions
10.1 The Bank reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant and the validity of any qualifying transaction.
10.2 The Bank reserves the right to disqualify any participant where fraud, abuse, misconduct or any breach of these Terms and Conditions is suspected.
10.3 The Bank may amend these Terms and Conditions or withdraw the Campaign at any time without prior notice to cardholders where reasonably necessary, subject to agreement with Visa on such amendments or withdrawal. The Bank shall provide cardholders with written notice of withdrawal of the Campaign within twenty-four (24) hours.
10.4 Participation in the Campaign constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
11. Regulatory Compliance
The Campaign shall be administered in accordance with the Visa Rules and all applicable laws and regulations of Mauritius.
The Bank shall be responsible for communicating the Campaign details, including the eligible cards, qualifying transactions, applicable spend thresholds, reward structure and any applicable conditions to participating cardholders.
